Oh my gosh! I looked out early one morning a month or so ago when I heard a big racket on the side porch to find seven of these little rascals.

@pcarlaw HA! I had to read this aloud to Ken... I've got the back entry rigged with lighting from two directions, and I'll put a pot upside down on a dish so we hear them when they arrive and make a clatter! Ken thinks I'm a bit eccentric, but it's all about the photo op, isn't it?!
@lisaconrad We seem to be going through an escalating quantity of cat and dog food! @LindaC I suspect I'm more welcoming to them than any of my neighbors! ...People claim that they dig up their gardens...well, duh! Feed them properly and they won't have to dig for grubs, I say! (My theory seems to be working!)
@lisaconrad They're my kind of people! I don't try to hand feed these, but I've fed shrimp to some that visited our back yard in California. Funny you mention sweets...we set out left-over pound cake & they inhaled it! We joked that they have a sweet tooth!
That is so funny, and I love the way they are looking in your direction. They really appreciate your treats, and you know it wouldn't surprise me if they share the word with friends in the area.
