In Hawaiian culture, the "Honu", or sea turtle, is a revered animal. It is a symbol of peace, good luck and long life. Ken and I selected this vase to be our Hawaiian memento (along with a set of coasters). We loved the Raku ceramics that these artists designed, and I'll be sending them this photo to let them know how much we are enjoying having their work in our home.
