As we left the restaurant with our neighbors tonight, I stood in the parking lot and snapped a photo of the palms. When I opened the image on my computer later, I was amazed at the sky! I only did the corrections in RAW and corrected the levels...
Wow, it was an Artist far greater than me at work tonight! This is as good as SOOC and I have NO IDEA how that coloration came about!
@flygirl Thanks, Dee! I only "really saw" this for the first time myself just moments ago! I said to my friend that I wanted an image with a lot of open space to use for an email note. She asked me if she could use it to send to a friend who likes palm trees! Won't they be surprised!

@taffy@mikegifford I think you both know how special it is to receive comments from the two of you; thanks so much! I have to tell you that there are no layers...no processing... Opened this in RAW and hit "auto"...adjusted the levels and nothing else... Someone else was at work there besides me...the sky was amazing! (I know...it *doesn't* look real...but would I lie?)
Like the flag with fireworks going off!! Love the layers of color and the silhouettes of the palms!! Often times you get the best photos unexpectedly!! FAV!
