After meeting in Carlsbad at an early hour to tour the 70-acre Flower Fields, 12 o'clock found "Our Gang" (thanks for so-dubbing us, Ron) heading to a noon-hour brunch. While we dined and sipped Mimosas (for four hours!), a docent in period costume spoke to a rapt audience of the olden days of film cameras and waiting for the prints to arrive (see photo above).
Care to hazard a guess as to how many photos came from these cameras tonight and didn't cost even one (additional) penny. (It was agreed by all that the money had already been spent on bodies and lenses!) Whoot!
What a fantastic meet-up of cameras... LOL. Of course great meet up of the owners. I look forward to the pictures taken after all those mimosas. How great you can get together and so often.
i am so jealous! i really need a photo buddy now that northy is crazy busy! i would guess roughly 2,000 photos (give or take) and those numbers are very conservative estimate. sounds like a wonderful meet up. i'm really jealous!
Wonderful meet up and fabulous cameras...but the four hours of chatting over brunch with MIMOSAS caught my attention. ☺ Sounds like an absolutely perfect day!
I took over 400 pictures yesterday. Sometimes with the birds just clicking away because they more of you have to keep at it to get a good shot. Doing this with film is prohibitive. Also knowing that you probably have a decent shot before you leave is priceless. The money represented in this picture could probably feed a family of four for a year.
no doubt film is expensive and inconvenient, but i like to shoot it from time to time. mainly i just like to see what these 40 and 50 year old cameras i have can do. but the images are often better than digital.
It looks like the cameras are having a great chat amongst themselves. I would love to be able to get together with someone or a group of people and go on a photo walk.
Great shot, Louise, and love the processing....and, of course, I knew there was no way I would miss a group of photographers in a restaurant after a shoot!! BTW, there has to be a name for this....a gaggle of cameras....a pride of lenses?! Any guesses?!
@Weezilou I LOVE the "Giggle of Photographers"....I think that describes us to a T!! Have I ever told you how appreciative and in awe I am at your powers to make these things happen?! Thank you for a wonderful time meeting and getting together with some great people! :-))
Great shot of all those nice camera`s Pretty a lot.
