Well, this is just ducky!! Louise, I saw this last night, but was just too tired to comment, and I had to wake up early to deal with contractors finally hooking up our new water heater!! Yes, they operate on a totally different time zone than we do! Anyway, the minute I saw it I thought that it would be just perfect for the theme-pets, so you have got to tag it for that!! And, a FAV, of course!
@_catherine_ Well, Colour Me Happy! How lovely to see you here! I just needed to hear all was well over on your side of the world, and now here's your sweet-smiling face! While I have just one photo vantage point for awhile longer, it'll be what's happening in the yard, and the ducks still entertain me (much to Ken's chagrin!) When will school be out for you? And do you think you'll return with photos? How are your darling kitties? A new "visitor kitty" has accepted out friendship (and treats) and comes in and sits on my lap. He 's obviously someone's well-loved cat, but I love that he drops by. Present plans have us leaving for Nova Scotia July 3...can't wait to get back there! I do understand your life is busy, but loved hearing from you. I must ask, too, with some trepidation, how is your good friend? I've thought of her and what all that means to you as well. I seem to communicate with you more through older posts thinking you're checking your notifications, so I think you have missed a lot of correspondence from me over time ...

My good friend is still very ill and is booked to have major surgery on 8 Aug. But she remains in high spirits and nothing gets her down.

@_catherine_ I am SO VERY VERY sorry I seem to have missed your notes! Actually, I daily (2-4x daily) go to the notifications list and always scroll through it, so perhaps there was a disconnect... Only yesterday a gal who joined 365 in Jan 2010 when I did, said she'd just come across a note I'd left her over a year ago! I'll try not to despair over my lost mail...I didn't miss this one. If I ever really needed to connect with you, I'd email. So...as you teach and study, do you laugh that I once thought you must be independently wealthy? (Kiss a kitty for me :)

@_catherine_ So did you recently celebrate a birthday? My friends took me to "an early birthday lunch" today as I'll cross over to (coughhackgasp...)seven zero in August! Hardly seems possible! When my Dad turned 50, I thought that was old! When *I* turned 50, I realized it wasn't old at all (so there!) This milestone now, for me, for the first time, seems "old", though I know it's an arbitrary # along the way. Meanwhile, I'm having the time of my life...and hope to continue to do so! And so glad to hear your friend is hanging in there with some hope coming along in early August. I'm quite sure your friendship means the world to her. Tell her that via the "6 Degrees of Separation" I'd likely know her and send her my best wishes for a full recovery from across the world ♥
