I have a few spaces yet to fill this month, often falling at a time we were busy with friends...lots of photos, no time to post (and certainly no time for some post-processing fun!)
Here we took college friends to see Little Corona on the Orange County Coast. The weather was perfect, the pelicans plentiful! AND, that was the day we saw whales passing by! A great trifecta!
@pyrrhula Oh thank you Ferry! That's what I was going for! I have a program that tries to replicate the picture with strokes, so I stop it before it's through...that way it looks "looser". I added another layer of lines as in an ink drawing, but only some of them... I'm delighted you like it! (and I'm still waiting to hear if the bowl is hand painted!)
@annied Thanks, Annie. I've been searching for something that would give a loose, painterly effect and remove the photographic detail. This set made me happy!
@louannwarren "Etch a Sketch", LouAnn! The talented artists are standing with the rising tide covering their feet as they work on their canvas! What I harken back to when doing something like this is "knowing when to stop" and hoping I succeeded. I'll be doing more of this... I really enjoy the technique! (I don't have to wait for the paint to dry!)
@laurieewilson@cruiser Thank you both so much. I didn't know if anyone would even see this, going back to the first of the month! You inspire me to keep after it! Thanks!
