Our very special friend, Mike, has appeared here many times, and even once before with his pan of cinnamon rolls https://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2012-07-02 It rained all day and it seemed a perfect occasion to make this treat.
I used to borrow his Kitchenaid mixer a number of years ago, and as a thank you, made him rolls. He invited Ken and me to dinner, and "as a party favour", he gave me my own mixer! I was amazed and delighted!! It came with one stipulation... He requested that I make him cinnamon rolls every summer! I couldn't have been happier than to comply!
After I took this photo, I added the icing, but never got the fully-finished picture. We each had one (from a second pan), following the "Eat Dessert First" admonition!
Ken, Pam and I each have one set aside to have with coffee in the morning before we catch our 11 AM flight to Newfoundland!
