Today was Canada Day & Canada's 150th Birthday Celebration. Locally we saw little sign of festivities, but our favourite LAMP (Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance) organization entertained us royally! These performers are the Iris Quartet, and the young man to the right is an up-and-coming composer who wrote the music that was performed as a part of the presentation. This fantastic setting is the home of a local artist, and everyone loved visiting this beautiful space!
We went from here to a dinner party at the home of a friend whose brother is LAMP's Music Director, and we all went that evening to another musical performance up at the Academy. After that marvelous event, we returned to the home of our dinner hosts, had dessert and toasted Canada a Happy Birthday!
