After shooting some photos of her at the feeder, she rose to this top tree twig, preening herself and giving me many opportunities to photograph her! Of several I liked, I selected this for the delicacy of her tiny feathers that she splayed. With only blue sky behind her, I pushed the photo lighter and didn't need to do another thing. She's gorgeous...she and another friend put on quite a show for me!
Very lovely capture. Wasn’t it kind of her to stop long enough for you to immortalize her in your Photos? I have a few recent hummingbird shots that I almost forgot about. Thanks for reminding me to post one soon. But I found them outside at the wildlife preserve. And they were fast as could be. By the time I could aim my camera, they were mostly always already gone. They most know that you’re way nicer than me.
@mbrutus LOL... These have been my back yard "pets" for years... we know each other! Makes a difference! I can almost count on one coming to the feeder immediately any time I step out the back door... I do have the feeling they keep an eye on me!
