My little blood orange tree is loaded, ripe and juicy juicy juicy! I was eating one over the sink (a sensible idea!) when I realized I had a theme to participate in! I gave Ken the camera, sat down by the tree and dribbled juice down my chin and clothes! ...It was SO worth it!
@allie912 I planted it a number of years ago, and after "a few a year" it burst forth this year and is loaded! Let me tell you...divine! Thanks on all counts!
Great shots. Looks like you enjoy it.
You can `t imagine that we have build our country with and on it. The bases of the old dikes are made from woven mats of willow branches
@brillomick ...and I tried growing apples, but had little luck. This is citrus country and we have a lot of variety in the yard! This theme was ready-made for me! Tomorrow, Grapefruit...Next day, avocado... etc...
@joysfocus One day Dr Dolittle...the next day Peter Pan ♥ Makes me think of the song,
Playmate, come out and Play with me!
Love you, too, Missy... Love, Messy ; )
@Weezilou An other unexpected use of natural material : A owner of a windmill told me : the windmill was build, by the weakness of the soil , on a dubble field of cow skins.
@gardenfolk Ha! Thanks! When I saw what Ken captured, I "hated" every one of them, but as a series that tells how much I enjoyed that, I thought it was OK...
@maggiemae That's cute, Maggiemae! I confess that Ken still can make my eyes sparkle! @gardenfolk So true, Cathee! Time was I would NEVER have posted a picture of myself looking like this, but this proves how comfortable I am with all of you! That, and with time we, pictorially, become more honest!

P. S. Mimosas made with champagne and blood orange juice are the best ever! 😊

Great series of shots -- definitely worth the sticky clean-up.
