"...for you are so very big, and I'm so very small..."
I know that's a line from a poem about something other than eucalyptus, but this lovely pathway lined with them certainly makes me feel diminutive in their presence! We're having a wonderful holiday weekend up the coast, visiting the grandsons.
Lovely image of these very tall trees! It made me remember my neighbour in my last house who bought a eucalyptus tree and planted it at the end of his garden - luckily on the far side away from my garden. Yes you guessed over the years the small pretty tree grew to enormous heights and when the wind blew it would almost bend over in half. I always worried it would fall down - we lived on top of a hill and were very exposed to the winds. Finally my neighbour moved to another house and the first thing my new neighbours did was to have the giant tree cut down much to my relief! Not the kind of tree suitable for a small garden! Fav for your great capture!
Eucalyptus trees always makes me think of Santa Barbara though we had plenty in the Palisades and up at Will Rogers state park and around the polo field. A beautiful capture! We have a very old and mangled eucalyptus that hangs over the fence from the neighbors. It use to be the favorite climbing tree for Katniss. :)
Great shot of those beautiful trees.
