Near the close of a beautiful day out, seeing the Derbyshire countryside, the camera was full of sun-drenched greens and quaint roof-lines and gardens. Pam already posted the teensy little mushrooms in the moss atop a wall, so, looking for a story, this was another favourite. This precious little terrier was tethered outside while her two-legged friend visited the shop. She was so attentive...not a bark or a whimper...
I would have loved to have seen the excitement of the reunion!
@judithdeacon Hi Judith! We're near Monyash until Friday...a good location for all we want to see. Pam tells me we'll be back in Northamptonshire on Friday and she invited Rosie & Sarah to tea on Saturday. I've been calling this my 365 Energizer-Bunny tour in the hope I don't wear out before returning to California one day in Nov! I see you're having a wonderful vacation as well!
Absolutely love this Louise!! Such a beautiful little dog who was going back and forth looking in the doors to the shops either side in search of her owner. There were a couple of ladies who stopped to talk to me and we all said we would never leave our dogs outside a shop. You hear so many tales of stolen dogs that I certainly would never leave Finlay or George outside!! You have caught her anxious expression perfectly!!
Awww so sweet. Just the perfect pose too. Here businesses have water bowls on the sidewalk (with ice in them these extremely hot days). It’s always fun to see a dog waiting for it’s master.
@jyokota I wonder if Pam can arrange for a return of "The Sixteen" that descended on the group of you in Chicago! (OK, just kidding, Pam @pamknowler) but once we shared that first experience, I, for one, want it all again...! How blessed we are to have come together with such special people!
Oh, lucky you -- not only Pam, but also Sarah and Rosie? Sigh. @taffy -- when are we going???
