This was one of the loveliest clearings we visited deep in the swamps. Two days in a row, the alligators met us there in the stillness...not so much as a warm breeze to disturb the humidity. Imagine the sound of birds, and the "chirping" of Alligators communicating.
@morgz67 How funny! Now I've read enough about the saltwater crocs to know they're eno laughing matter, but we were told again and again that these guys are not predatory... The do seem curious, however...No trouble getting the close-ups!
@gilbertwood Not a "croc" Denise! I totally understand the concern of the Aussies!
@yolanda Thanks, Yolanda! This location was so beautiful; it was impossible to capture the true beauty of it all!
@pamknowler You're so funny! I told you my aunt sent us a baby alligator from Louisiana back in the late 50's... He lived in a terrarium and we'd hear him "chirping"...
@louannwarren Oh my, Lou Ann, yes, it was the reflections that had me enraptured!
