I tried to challenge myself a bit more today, layering a few different techniques. The finished piece is close to what I had in mind, so I accept that as a well-learned curve. What grandma doesn't like working with photos of the kiddos?

@louannwarren How funny that you said it that way... I see the opposite! California boys with an air of self confidence, and "the country cousins" who came to visit! Don't know if my daughters will like this or not...sometimes they just like pictures straightforward...but they realize I'm not good at that! ha! @pandorasecho Dixie, I know how we both like to embellish our work a bit. I had to stop myself from adding anything more at this time! Relaxing fun, isn't it?!
@maggiemae thanks so much! It's a photo shop action called Quick Sketch... Select your central subject, and when it finishes,go down the list and make your choice of changes. I went on to work with several layers before finishing it! What I like about Actions is that you can make it completely your own. I've purchased quite a few and love using them!
