We had the most delightful day today! Last week in the paper I read about "Open Farm Day" around the province, and the full-page notification listed all the farms that would be open to the public today. Ross Farm is also a museum and working farm, so we selected it. On the grounds was a homestead, built in 1817, a three-story barn, blacksmith shop, 1-room school and several more buildings housing museum items. Docents were dressed in period costume, there were lots of animals, large gardens, a pond and a lake. I have lots of wonderful photo memories!
