The hour was getting so late, it's a wonder I captured anything (with a hand-held camera.) We'd stopped to capture the cloud formations over Back Harbour when THIS TIME I spotted the heron! Photo after photo I hoped at least one would not have "shake". I get home and this is what I see for the first time...a duck in the picture. More pictures, more ducks (up to 4!) I never saw them as I was so focused on that heron! (I'm glad there were no snakes in the grass!) The other anamoly is that square edge over the heron. It's in all the pictures but we were near no house or structure... I'll go back soon and see if I can figures what it was...but I like it!
Being "a bit" grainy (ok...a lot) it seemed textured like a silk weaving... Add that subject matter and I went for an oriental effect.
And this is why I can't seem to ever get caught up...but my oh my am I having fun!
I wish I could fav this multiple times! What an inspiration to present it as a Chinese painting complete with seal! I would definitely have this one framed. Or maybe put one scroll!
As long as you are having fun!! I really like the oriental effect that you have achieved in this one (talk about making lemonade when life hands you lemons!). Wonderful composition and processing....FAV!
Wonderful capture! Love your story, you're a hoot! Could the shade in the water be the breeze? In ND it's windy almost every day and it plays the shades in water at different times and in different unusual forms.
@gadaza I went to "Google Images" and put in "Chinese Chop Marks" Surprisingly, there are not a lot that I could find, but I open them in Photoshop, crop and paste them. Enjoy! Let me know if you have further questions!
@merteskid Thanks for the input, Jo! I was so curious about the crisp right angles...haven't had time to go back for another look.. I don't know what did it, but I confess I like it :)
