This is a Flowering Pear (or Ornamental Pear), one of three trees that bloom in our back yard this time of year. That was, until December when we had heavy rains and wind and the center one fell down, lifting some of the patio. It was removed before we got home from Canada.
...We decided to repair the small area of patio...
...It was suggested that it wouldn't be much more work (or $) to replace all the concrete...
...The digging began & trenches now have water drainage & pipes for electricity...
...Make a little look good and the rest begins to look old and shabby...
...Today we decided to replace the coping around the pool for an entirely new look...
...And when that looks good, we'll be re-tiling the pool and having it re-plastered.
...My first thought was, "What will the ducks do?
And it all began when the tree fell down...

I love these little blossoms and can't wait for them to bloom here again. Thank you for sharing you bit of warmth, it will have to tied me over for a few more months I'm afraid.
