Loving Every Moment's Detail!

I've come to appreciate the ability and skill of this amazing artist and craftsman! I look at his sculptured features, borne of his Central American lineage, and his ability to create detail in stone has come down through his artistic heritage. I'm so appreciative to have met and hired this team and their work will be central to our home for years to come. Jorge is his name, and I think he's single-handedly cut every piece of the coping, creating straight lines to form the curves around the pool. It's been fascinating to watch the dust rise as the saw cuts through stone, leaving everything covered in powder.

I'm posting this photo "in the minute", and, across the yard, the first beautiful tiles are being placed around the waterline of the pool.

The frosting is being put on the cake... The party is getting underway!
I'm most impressed with the stance/POV of this photo.

@ethelperry I might have startled him had he looked over his shoulder and seen me right behind him! However, I think they're pretty used to me out there with my camera by now!

I'd say your artistry was also on display!

Wonderful action capture!! Your pool is going to be wonderful - all this action will soon be a distant memory!!

@allie912 which word is appropriate, Dear Librarian... lineage or heritage? I was stumped...
March 26th, 2015
@pamknowler It's all been so fascinating to watch, I might actually miss the sound of buzz saws in the morning ;-)
March 26th, 2015
@Weezilou I think lineage is more about the genes while heritage is the culture. How does that sound?
March 26th, 2015
I am very happy for you, Louise! Very nicely said and captured!
March 26th, 2015
@allie912 Thanks Allie! I think I have that right now...most appreciated!

@thirdjoe Thanks, Joe and @kwind thank you, too, Kim! You'll all see why we're so delighted with his work when I post a final photo...a collage perhaps!

Louise, this is a great POV. Really shows that he's working and what he is doing. Looks like things are coming along nicely. I do see party central happening there.

Nice shot. It is always nice to have some do the work whom you trust

Wonderful working image.
March 27th, 2015
Wonderful image of a craftsman doing his work - full of action and sensuality.
March 27th, 2015
not many can do these things, most just put parts together.
March 27th, 2015
@chard Don't we know that! Richard, you couldn't pay me enough to do all the work they've done! Trust me, I couldn't be more appreciative or impressed... these are some fabulous artisans!
March 27th, 2015
@chard PS...and Ken and I don't even nit pick about anything... they just do a wonderful job...VERY impressive! (wait and see!)

Party??? Did you say party???? I have a week off without the boy! christening your new space sounds like a great way to spend a day...or two! ;) Can't wait to see the finished product!
March 27th, 2015
@voiceprintz We party pretty casually...but this is going to be a terrific place to relax... Of course...let us know when we should meet your plane...I think you already know you'd be welcome :)
March 27th, 2015
*chuckling* I know I'd be welcome. In truth, I'll be staying on the North Side. Prolly not too horribly far from your daughter, d-i-l, and grandkids. There will be no swimming in Chicago next week! ;)

I do, however, need to come back to Cali. My first trip was certainly not my last!

@voiceprintz Andersonville ... Green Genes ... Heather Muenstermann ... She'd welcome you dropping by! How cute you are!
March 27th, 2015
I love that area of the city! :) It's not too far from where I'll be. I'm staying near Lawrence and Kimball. I can't imagine I won't have time to stop by and say hello! You might want to warn her when next you Skype! ;)
March 27th, 2015
@voiceprintz She's there Tue, Th and Sat...home with the babes the other days! Funny how I know "nothing" and yet so much about you...and I know Heather would take to you as I have, if only through your photos and words! Make it happen if you can...and I'll (haha) "warn her"! ♥
March 27th, 2015
How fortuitous! I complete a tour of the "L" at noon on Tues. Got my navigational app all ready!
March 27th, 2015
@voiceprintz ...and I'm in the middle of writing her a note right now! How I'd love to be there... You'll recognize her...everyone tells us we look alike. Of course she's younger and beautiful, but in videos I see we have the same mannerisms. Well...enough details... Every meetup *I* have had has been such a joy. May it be the same for you and Heather :)
March 27th, 2015
@voiceprintz And I assume you mean next Tuesday? Here's an exciting piece about her and Tina that just hit the web... Via this, you'll recognize them :) http://www.landofnod.com/Real-Families/Muenstermann-Isperduli
