I couldn't resist this ubiquitous California setting for a family photo of our daughter Ashley, John & their boys. As a holiday treat for the boys, they had taken a 22-minute train ride down the cost to the next stop, and Ken and I drove down to pick them up. They waited for us at a fabulous coffee shop with a taco stand, so we had a light lunch and grabbed some family photos. My series of shots had ducked-or-turned heads until Ashley suggested they all make funny faces... Those were beyond silly! Here, Ash suggested they now make nice smiles, but Dylan, the family goofball, couldn't stop being silly! Ashton was just tickled! And THAT is my little family...just as I like it!
What a lovely family, Louise! And how wonderful that you got to spend Christmas with them. There is nothing like the joy of little ones when they see what Santa brought to them!
