These are two of the three churches along the waterfront in Mahone Bay (and 5 steeples can be seen in one view). I recently heard someone say they're perhaps the most-photographed setting in Nova Scotia. (They may have said, "Canada", but certainly they are in this province!)
For that reason we brought our house guests to Rebecca's Restaurant and sat out on the back deck, overlooking the water. As the sun set, the clouds changed from peach to pink and then lavender. I was the first to get up to take pictures...then our friend. Shortly everyone was getting up from their tables and photographing the sunset with phones and ipads. This may not actually be the prettiest, but I wanted to have a play with some new presets, and the pinkest, cotton-candy clouds reflecting on the water hardly needed post processing!
I've been so busy this summer, I've not posted many scenic images from around here. I need to change that!
Oh what lovely tones, this is beautiful Louise!!! I'm sorry but "This may not actually be the prettiest" is erroneous. Agree to disagree. What a view... Wonderful.
@pamknowler As I read your notes and came to this one last, I was thinking how much you'll love it when you see this for yourself! It's a pretty charming place, both at high and low tide and in a variety of light situations! Check the tag for Mahone Bay...
tarnation! how come when i'm in a beautiful setting like this i get no pretty sunset? we've been having stunning sunsets here the light of which floods my whole apartment every time and i couldn't get tired of photographing it. well, there's always the next time, that's for sure.
