Spring 1978 ... We Thought this Would be Forever!

At the far end of the pool is 3 year-old Ashley waiting to have a swim. Since this time, trees have grown & matured (as has our daughter!), we've put additions on the house, and two sets of bay windows, kitchen and upstairs bedroom. Until we settled here, I moved frequently as a child, so I never had photos of "Early Days to the Present". What fun this is to see how time changes things!
Great to have these old images. Your pool has stood the test of time well. We moved a lot, too, when I was a child and I haven't as an adult!

This reminds me so much of the pool we had put in, also in 1978! We also had a diving board, which you don't see any more. I moved from that house in 1987, but often wonder what it looks like now. It's great to look back on memories...would love to see a current day shot of your pool unless it is somewhere in one of your other photos here.

What a great photo of "THEN". I'm not sure I could find all the photos we took during that decade. Most were slides.... and we have boxes of those we need to go through.

I love this, what a great photo of the before. Great to read the process of the pool installation and history.
