And I'm not sure about leaving my subject centered.

I think it works. The eye falls on the violin first, and then follows up to his angelic face. I like you you can see the depth now, with the road going round to the bridge in the background.

I think the two lamp posts add nice frame for him. I really like this one. One other suggestion since it’s such a great portrait…maybe raise the shadows a bit to his face especially his left, our right, eye
