Bucket list image! On my way home from visiting my parents this train was sitting on the curve of what I have always called Horseshoe Bend where the railroad tracks cross the Niobrara River. The railcars stretched back at least another half mile, making a snaking line through this open, empty vista. I have always liked watching their flow around this curve, but was glad to find this one stationary today.

@yllacs Thank you. It's the high plains of Nebraska, the part the travelers of the Oregon Trail dubbed the Great American Dessert. It is very wide open!
