Linear inertia... one moves... domino effect

(for the six word story challenge)
I've had this idea in my head for awhile now, but still not sure how to capture it. Must have tried a hundred photos today. This was the best of the lot. Will probably revisit this again. (best viewed large if you have the time)

Nice one. If you want to show more action I'd try a smaller aperture to get a little longer shutter speed, maybe a ND filter could give longer shutter speed also, and use a tripod to prevent blur on the stationary objects.

@bill_fe Thank you for your suggestions. I wasn't full manual ... just used Shutter Priority, and because of my predilection for handheld I didn't even think of using the tripod. Still so much to learn! Found an image I would love to match toward the end of the discussion here: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/6497/falling-dominoes-challenge
but the exif info is gone. I will undoubtedly revisit this again.
