Black and white month has been a challenge in learning how to see and think in black and white. I've been trying to strip down the elements I work with, and the white ball in this tired, worn leather glove caught my eye. Few colors, nice shape and form, and they evoke many memories of when the kids were young and baseball was a spring and summer event.
Good subject matter for black and white. The eye is really drawn to all the detail - the texture of the mitt, the laces, the stitching on the ball. I do think colour detracts from detail in some cases.
