Francoise challenged me to do a portrait that includes the full body and a scene. Got the body, got the scene, missed the face. I did want to at least give it a try. There's still tomorrow too.
Francoise @francoise ... An attempt at your challenge. I haven't spent much time with people this week, but I did want to give it a try. I'll see what tonight or tomorrow bring.

This is a wonderful picture. I like that you did it in black and white. The contrasts are just fabulous. Whoever said that a portrait has to have a face??? I think it meets the challenge.

I don't think a portrait always has to include a face. I love the comp and light in this, and it's a fav for me.

Love it in B&W and shows the scene. Great clarity.

I think getting the back of the head like you have can be just as expressive as the face. However, you only get 9.5/10 for "full body" because, alas, his feet are missing.

@bette I know! Darn it ... missed his boots.

It's a great environmental portrait, it shows the man, his style, his work - what more could you want... apart from feet that is ;-)

Congratulations on making the Trending Page. Well deserved.

I think this is really effective. Seeing him in this position makes me feel like I'm peeking in on his work day.

I think this is a lovely portrait!
We're get pushed partners again! How about you try some outdoor at night or twilight shots? Looks like most of your photographing takes place during the day or inside. Does that work? I'm happy to think of something else if it doesn't!

This portrait tells such a story.....and, I think it is much more effective exactly because you do not reveal the face!

I really like this. The composition lighting and detail are all great. The way he is obviously absorbed in what he is doing and unaware of you makes it such a great candid
