When I first joined 365 Livia @myautofocuslife was active posting. She posted the most wonderful images of jumping spiders! How I wish we had the variety of these little spiders that she had. The locals here aren't quite as exotic as hers, but whenever I encounter one I spend as much time as the little spider will tolerate trying to get a clear image. I love their eyes!
Nice capture! John Willner on Photoshop Lightroom just posted a picture of a jumping spider that Is one of the best I've ever seen. Though you might want to check it out at www.Facebook.com/ArtofJCW. Your's is awesome, better than I've ever got. They are a challenge.
@aecasey Yes... I know that he did it in a studio box setting with a blue towel... but what are the chances of even catching one of these guys and getting them into a studio setting. Besides, I'm not sure if I like that approach, I prefer to capture bugs in their natural settings as with other creatures. What do you think about the studio set up?
@stefneyhart He sure had beautiful light. I'd be afraid of losing the little fellow though. I'm like you. I'd rather sit in the garden and be a paparazzi. Here's one I got several years ago http://365project.org/aecasey/365/2013-08-07
NOPE, NOPE, NOPE ---- maybe with a 600mm lens not a macro. Well done on the eyes. Congrats on getting on the tp & pp page. Following if there is no more close-up spiders.
