The Coen brothers are filming for their new project, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," in parts of Sioux County this month. Several of their locations lie within sight of the local highway I travel on the way to town, so I've been keeping an eye out hoping to see the wagon train. I was so excited to see it out today, along with the filming crew, local extras in period dress, along with oxen and horses. It was such an odd mix of today and yesterday. James Franco and Tyne Daly are part of the cast ... and I still haven't bought that 600mm lens yet. Darn!
Isn't this fun, April! Great to see. Our Scottbluff people were hoping to be in the movie -- one cousin, apparently, really looks like a pioneer! Thanks for posting.
