roman broccoli by aecasey

roman broccoli

I took over 100 photos of this head. I tried macros, macros with extension tubes, nifty 50, nifty 50 with extension tubes, ring lights, natural light, and on and on and on. I wish I could capture how fascinating and beautiful this plant truly is. Even though immature with careful study one can see that the pattern is repeated on the head, on each floret, and on the miniature parts of the florets (though not with my poor attempts today). Nature is amazing! I'm guessing this is BoB if you have the time.
That's dedication...I like this one

Lovely image of this romanesco, your remark on the repeating of the pattern reminded me of a dutch (dialect) song in which they sing the sentence "a piece of a cauliflower is a cauliflower by itself"

I was attracted to your album by your gorgeous "blue drop" picture, and then I found this! I just posted my own fractal geometry of nature post maybe 15 minutes ago. Yay for serendipity! You have a gorgeous portfolio.
