Elm buds by aecasey

Elm buds

Miseria challenged me to take a photo that conveys the changing of the seasons. I had really, really, really hoped to get those Sand Hills Cranes, but they were gone on my return trip to the refuge. It's far too early for the fruit trees and flowering shrubs to be putting out any buds. However, the elm trees are always early, so, here are some elm buds, slowly opening to the longer hours of spring light.
Miseria @miseria ... I wanted the cranes, but that was not to be. Then I thought I'd set up a still life ... not really my forte. So, back to nature and some early buds signaling the change of seasons.
