uncovered

This rusty bit of chain has been long, long, long buried. It came to light when the plumbers insisted there was a second septic tank on our septic line that had to be the source of some disconcerting issues the past week. Sure enough, after two hours of digging, this lid to the second concrete chamber was exposed for the first time in well over forty years. While the draining issues seem to have been resolved, I think I'll have the plumbers back just to be sure everything is in working order and there's no more hidden surprises in the back yard.
Just beautiful. What a lovely POV and DOF too. I hope that all your surprises from now on may be good ones!
