Miseria challenged me to do a low contrast photo this week. As usual, I remembered the "low contrast" part of the challenge, and ignored the "this can be a portrait or landscape" part. Oh well. At least I got to practice. As far as I can tell, low contrast involves a particular style of editing in which the blacks are lifted and the highlights and whites are dropped. I did this both in Tone as well as in Split Toning. Since the photo was taken in the morning, I think it really did help this image as the light and colors were rather overpowering before attempting to make it low contrast. Will try again ... probably landscape as I won't see the grandkids for a few days and no one else will tolerate having my camera pointed their direction.
