This lone tree sits atop a knoll at the top of a canyon in a local state park. Its solitude and shape make it a favorite, and I wondered how it would look caught in the light bulb, so I took the road up the canyon and made a quick stop. I rather wish I was adept at photoshop so I could get rid of my fingers, but I'm not, and I don't have a photoshop, so there they are. Maybe I should have used a smaller aperture to bring my hand into focus, but I'm headed a different direction today, so it is what it is. Still have a floating light bulb in my head, though. Maybe that's a project for a dark, cold, winter day when I am ready to tackle learning Affinity (as close as I have to a photoshop).
Jacqueline @jacqbb Another refraction with the water filled light bulb. I was curious as to what a lone object would look like. Don't like my fingers, but I do like the refraction!
@jacqbb It was an incandescent light bulb that I hollowed out. I followed the instructions from a YouTube video. Then I filled it with water and sealed the bottom floral clay. I had to use a clear bulb, as I couldn't get the frosted covering out of the frosted one I tried first, though the tutorial said it should have rinsed right out.
The fingers are not a distraction for me - I notice the refraction first.
now i want to try too.
