Saxa challenged me to express loneliness this week. I think that expression comes from the set of one's shoulders, the drop of one's head, the position of one's hands. Since I only have myself to work with, and my remote batteries are dead, I used a 10 second timer and raced back and forth trying to emote an air of loneliness. This was my closest acceptable image. I'll have to see if I have more time to try another setting tomorrow.
So, i think you were successful at your mission. Here is why ... your hands, the expression of them against the window, and the combination of the shadow on them speaks loads of loneliness to me. Very well done in my book.
Oh, yes this works. It doesn't fit with you running back and fore though ... that must have been tricky! You've managed to make a very serene image, and one which very much depicts how loneliness would look. The hand position is perfect.
Hi April - I am your Get Pushed partner for this week. I have just been admiring your project - your images are so varied and so skilful that I found it difficult to think of a challenge, so I have 2 suggestions. Firstly, if you have a suitable editing program I was wondering if you would like to produce a composite image? Alternatively, would you like to produce a humourous image which makes us laugh? Cheers Rob :)
Sorry for late reply. Our telephone pole has come down so no internet and phone available since last Friday. So catching up in break time at work (though from a telephone screen)
Really good April, the black and white enhances the feeling this image evokes. Without the title the image also expresses this feeling. The hand expression is very strong. Well done!
