on the stepladder

Alanna challenged me to do a plastic sandwich bag portrait. I've tried these in the past with little success. This time I secured the bag to my lens with a rubber band and manipulated the edges to frame littlest granddaughter. I really, really like how it softened and blurred the background, allowing me to use a higher aperture without the worry of a messy background. Having her relatively stationary helped a lot too!
Lovely portrait

alanna @alannascanlon I've tried this before but struggled with it a lot. This time, though, I secured the plastic bag to the lens so I could manipulate the edges. I love the blur it creates with the background! Thank you for this push .. I am really glad to have tried it again.
