I visited the local state extension plantings to see what might be blooming. A scant 25 miles south, and 600 feet lower in elevation, they had no snow. Their iris beds are just beginning to show a bit if color, and had best hurry as the iris show is next week. Thankfully these little iris plants bloom earlier than their larger cousins and I got to enjoy a hint of spring yet to come.
