My one and only shot. I do not know how birds know when a camera lens is pointed their direction, but they do. I stepped out and got this shot, then thought I'd use the big zoom, put it on, pointed, and off they went. I am excited to see them, because they are infrequent here, and so disappointed I didn't get a closer shot. This flock must be on their migration route. I didn't even know they traveled in a group like this.
I've seen flocks of these birds in Houston and also here in Scotland. Not often though, I have to say. Beautiful capture of them all.

Never seen this kind of birds, glad to find them here :)
Maybe it's better they fly away instinctively, because everything pointing at them could be a gun. I wonder if they notice the movement or maybe the reflection of light on the front lens.

I have never seen Waxwings flock together before. I have only ever seen them solo or in pairs.
