Last September I had a water leak that ruined my television. Youngest son offered to sell me his so he could get a newer one, which I gladly did as I hate waiting and I'm not that fond of getting used to new things. We were both happy, until the one I bought from him died. So, there I was, shopping for a new one anyway. Youngest son was quite distressed at this turn of events, as he was very fond of that television. After much research he opened the back of the broken television and determined it was the mother board that had failed. After months of searching he located a reasonably priced mother board in the hopes of reviving the tv. Though I was skeptical, he went to work, removing this board and replacing it with a new board. Then the moment...would it turn on? We waited with bated breath as he plugged it in and hit the button. A few moments of black screen, disappointment beginning to set in, and then up popped the icon, in full, glorious color. Success! To say he was pleased is an understatement. It's so wonderful to have the determination and where with all to take what is broken and repair it, rather than set it out for the trash. I'm so glad this television has renewed life, particularly in these days when our connection to the world has become so dependent on electronics.
