blue hour neowise by aecasey

blue hour neowise

The first night Neowise appeared in the evening sky was so exciting. The next few nights as I tried to photograph it were frustrating as between my fumbled attempts and cloud cover I could not get a shot. There were clouds again tonight, but the biggest problem I am encountering is I can't actually see it. I have graduated tri-focals, and though I know it's there, I can't find it. So, this was a "guess" photo. Neowise is up in the corner. I wanted a foreground, but I missed part of the comet. I think this is becoming an exercise in futility.

I am tagging this for my challenge from Arnica to do a deeper depth of field photo. I've spent so many days struggling with sharp focus for blue hour and trying to get sky and foreground sharp I just have to tag it.
Arnica @arnica17 I know this shows an f stop of just 4, which is as open as this lens gets, but I thought with the foreground and sky depth of focus it would work for your challenge. I may try some more, but with a different subject.

It's beautiful. Too bad you can't get more of the comet. But I think it has its own charm.
