Though this is from yesterday, this morning's weather was even colder and frostier. Sometimes sorting out the sick ones requires a bit of a chase.

Another awesome capture, love how the horse is kicking up dust in the chase! Was this shot in S mode April? My Lumix was so limited in the settings, I have to learn from scratch now ;-)

@ludwigsdiana I almost always shoot in Av (aperture priority). Since there wasn't much light, I had the lens as wide open as it would go. For this lens that was f4.5. That softens the background and is a shallower depth of field but I had decent focus on the horse and I wanted the faster shutter speed for the movement. When you use Av you set the aperture, and the camera chooses the ISO and shutter speed based on your choice and the light conditions. I like soft backgrounds and bokeh, so I tend to choose large apertures (low f stop numbers).
