There must be a few butterflies and moths around as caterpillars are starting to appear. This one was making a beeline across the cement when I grabbed it and my camera for a photo op. I put it on a milkweed, but it wasn't at all interested in staying there. When it grows up it will be a sphinx hawk moth, one of our favorites when visiting flowers.
