Seeing double again ... These irises are from my parents' yard. I divided and transplanted in my yard a few years ago.
My father was a bit of a scavenger. He walked to work every morning for decades, often walking through the alleys. He came home with so many odds and ends, including plants. He had this iris and a yellow one he had collected behind the garage, along with rhubarb. My mother's irises are a rich purple. I brought them home last fall and they have wonderful fans this year, but no blooms. Hopefully next year.
