So I was really hoping to not rely too heavily on bird photography this time around, but, well, sometimes I gotta shoot what's here I guess. Grackles aren't necessarily the most beautiful of birds, but there's something appealing about their character. This gal was shaking her tail like nobody's business.

This is a great shot- although Grackles around here are an unwanted bird. They tend to rob eggs out of the finches' nests and take over bird feeders. The posture and capture here reminds me of some of Audubon's bird illustrations.
