Annie @annied challenged me to do a refraction image for this week's Get Pushed challenge. I don't have a nice wine goblet to use in front of cool paper, nor do I have any blooming flowers to catch in a water droplet. Played with water drops on a cd and a clear cylinder over some fabric plus a bunch of different setups, but none of them interested me very much. Settled for this fork in water even though it was nowhere near what I had in mind. It does at least show refraction! I may try again tomorrow...
I am most grateful for all the nice response to yesterday's image, many thanks!
@annied Hi Annie, here is my first attempt. Tried something a little different this time, but perhaps tomorrow will find a more dynamic image if not more conventional...
I like the feeling of the grain playing against the smooth surfaces of the glass and water. It’s a minor detail but I also like the way you have inserted your watermark here, so it rests on the surface in the photo.
the result is an interesting one to see. No doubt it's a fork but how did one fork have two sets of tines. What is it in that square? Is it in an ice cube and square/rectangular container? Keeps me guessing but nicely done.
This is a fabulous response to the challenge. So dramatic in black and white.
As your get pushed challenge partner this week my challenge to you is to take a portrait focusing on a body part rather than on a face ie a faceless portrait. Hope you are happy with the challenge.
It's A FAV!
