Okay, for all you folks who want to know how this brilliant magic was accomplished, I'll share my secret with you and only you. But sssshhhh, you have to PROMISE not to let anyone else know. I'd hate to see copy cats running amok... Grab a pencil cuz it's complicated:
1) strategically place bottles lying down on a small light table with one askew and its cork lying nearby
2) shoot from above
3) crop and process as desired
@emeraldboots I have one that I used to use for viewing my slides (remember those?!) Only about 12''x16'' give or take and not too expensive, either. I have gotten SO much use outta that thing!
Yeah, I used to have one. I have always wondered how people achieved this shot now I do - duh! I have also wondered how people achieve the brilliant background too - any ideas? @aikiuser
@emeraldboots This guy has some great textures he's graciously letting folks use for FREE! http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.com/
Just bring one into PS on another layer and play with the blending modes. You can get some fantastic background effects this way. You may want to mask out part of your image if it's too overwhelming with the textures, but it is SO fun to play and explore! This site also has some tutorials to check out. Have FUN! :-D
@miranda I just love your description of this! Incredibly, I was thinking something similar when I was setting it up, but just figured I was being really weird. ...well, maybe I was anyway. ;-)
Fav!
I LOVE your description, by the way. =)) Made me LOL. :))

Many HUGE thanks to you all--you are soooo kind! I actually like this shot a whole lot better tonight after not looking at it for so long while feeling uninspired. ;-)

Like I said. Complicated! ;-)
