Really not a great shot taken years ago with my first digital dslr. Very grainy, blurry, etc. etc. But I'm still organizing my photo libraries and I came across this and it made me smile. I had been literally following this man all over the Roman Collesium because there was just something special about him to me. Wise, calm, peaceful... Something. Finally he turned my way, cracked a quick smile and moved on. I'm thinking I wasn't as stealthy as I'd assumed and he was just humoring me for a moment!
He has a very special look about him....I am so glad you caught his smile! Wouldn't he be thrilled to know that folks from all over the world are enjoying his smile? Great photo!
He gave you what you wanted in such a nice way... and I bet you stopped following him after that :) I like the face being the only thing in focus.pretty background lighting too.
@amyspada Haha! Yup. I totally suck at people pics and I was just about mortified when he spotted me! Besides, I did have to get back to the family at some point... ;-)
