On one of my explores I came across this wonderful carving of Mary Magdalene in St Mary Magdalene Church in the small village of Wiston, Pembrokeshire.
Apparently there is a local craftsman (and I think member of the congregation that undertook his work).
There has been a church on this site at least since c1147. The current structure was founded by Wizo the Flemming (also responsible for the nearby castle).
The church is a typical Norman church with a square tower.
