Tried taking pictures of the very dramatic pink sunset tonight. Sunset pics really didn't work (our street has far too much clutter), but spotted this bug on the way back inside... (I lopped off his antennae in this pic so you can see his pretty wings in more detail instead).
The shapes making up the patterns on his wings are similliar to that in the object upon which he is sitting. I wonder if he thought that he may be camouflaged.
Looks like he was huge. You did capture is detail quite wonderfully though! Sometimes you just need to shake things up and flip directions, its all about having fun and learning. :)
