30-day challenge - Day 24: Something you shouldn’t have bought, but did anyways.
I couldn't have been less inclined to take a photo today if I'd tried... Still, managed to do it anyway...
My other half is a night owl, while I'm a morning lark (as are the parrots, so no chance of me getting a lie in - ever!). This usually means that we start watching TV shows right about when I should be thinking of going to bed, then I get sucked in to some random rubbish show, and before I know it I'm down to 6 hours sleep - or less... I can do that for a night or two, but my brain just stops functioning after a while. So I rely on caffeinated beverages to keep me going... Usually I just have one can in the morning and I'm fine, but this week I'm up to 2 cans/day. (Not much for some people, but I have a fairly low tolerance for caffeine anyway!). I'm definitely thinking I should have avoided buying that second can today...
I had huge trouble getting a pic that wasn't really boring, so in the end I just picniked it - a lot! I quite like this result, and think maybe the coke people should use this design :) (The oversaturated pixels are a bit annoying but I wasn't in a mood to fiddle with the flash).
Oops - that turned into a bit of a rant! Sorry!
(The macro tube and filters I ordered just arrived, so hopefully there will be some inventive pics soon!)
This looks really awesome! This should totally be an ad for coke zero. Hihi, I have a very low caffeine tolerance as well. Just one can is enough to make me very, very hyper. And I'm already a hyper person ;). Hope you have an opportunity to catch up on your sleep soon!
just be glad you don't have small baby that doesn't allow me more than 3-4 hours a night.....and doesn't tolerate caffeine!! ahhh...I feel your drowsiness! Nice processing on this.
@buggirl There are about a hundred reasons why I never want (human) kids... You just hit one of the top-10! Hope you get some sleep in there from time to time! (You have to wonder how that whole process was an evolutionary advantage, don't you!)
Alia, Coca Cola was my caffeine of choice, but I finally quit. Getting the right sleep is like a science I never learned.

i love your rant and I totally get it. I love the way this photo turned out, too. Personally my vice is Pepsi One - got to have one a day. But your Coke photo rocks!
Very coll picture and processing. I am a HUGE fan of Coke Zero (drinking one at this very moment actually). I agree the Coke people should have a look at this and use it!
