Thanks! They are my little Pocket Dragon figurines. I used to collect them, before they stopped being made. It is still possible to find them on eBay occasionally... They need dusting though :)
It wasn't completely dark, but we avoid having too many lights on after sundown, so the girls get their beauty sleep (if it was too light they'd think it was constantly summer, which can cause them to lay eggs - something we try to avoid as there can be lots of complications).
@alia_801 i find it so interesting what accommodations we make and have no problem making when we have pets. we have fish and a turtle and have to turn their tanks on and off regularly, clean them, feed them, etc and make sure they are temperature controlled. same thing for our dogs and cats. when we leave, many times we turn the a/c on when it has not been on - for the dogs! - we can't leave the big door open when we are gone.
